One person has died after a vehicle struck a pedestrian on the Murray Baker Bridge.
The Illinois State Police responded to the scene at around 5:49 a.m. Friday and said one person was taken to a hospital. An update later noted that the incident “is now considered a fatal crash.”
Interstate 74 westbound was temporarily closed due to the crash, but reopened shortly before 9 a.m.
No additional information is currently available, according to state police.
