SPRINGFIELD — A 54-year-old man was found dead of a gunshot wound inside a home in the 1200 block of East Kansas Street in Springfield just before 6 a.m. on Oct. 6, according to the Springfield Police Department.
A suspect was identified and taken into custody on unrelated charges, a news release indicated.
Sean Campbell of Springfield was pronounced dead at the scene by Sangamon County Coroner Jim Allmon, who performed the autopsy Monday.
