Macomb police investigating homicide

The Macomb Police Department has confirmed that officers are investigating a homicide.

According to a news release issued July 28, the department was made aware of a possible homicide in the 600block of North Randolph Street in Macomb, Illinois.

Officers gathered information from the people who called it in and contacted the investigation unit.

During the investigation, it was confirmed there was a homicide.

The release states that the Macomb Police Department is confident there is no threat to the community at this time and that the investigation is ongoing.
