A 27-year-old Greenview man was identified as the victim of a fatal crash rural Menard County July 31.
Chance C. Rutherford was involved in the single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Altig Bridge Avenue and Duncan Avenue near Greenview.
The Menard County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center received a call about the crash shortly after 5:00 a.m. July 31.
A sheriff’s deputy arrived on the scene prior to fire and EMS personnel. Rutherford was the lone occupant in the car.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Other results from the autopsy are still pending
The crash remains under investigation.
