Max Fisher defeated AJ Charpentier and Kaliana Buehler topped Madison Arnolts to win the 89th annual Drysdale Junior Golf Tournament age 16-18 division boys and girls championships at Bunn Golf Course on Thursday, July 16.
Also at Bunn, Lucas Boualavong beat Liam Hooker and Kendyl Mudd overcame Sophie Gleason for the age 14-15 boys and girls divisional championship titles.
Fisher, who will be a senior at Williamsville High School, downed the Jacksonville High School graduate 5-up-4.
Bill Blinn beat Charlie Houston 6-up-4 for the 16-18 boys consolation flight title, while Bryce Cowdrey downed Aiden Killian 4-up-3 for the first flight win. Dylan Thacker won the second flight 3-up-1 over Jude O’Brien, Coyt Rademaker beat Landon Leach 3-up-2 in the third flight, Luke Pope topped Brady Beck for the fourth flight 4-up-3. In the fifth flight, Ashton Hummel beat Bosco Hyde 8-up-6.
Buehler defeated Arnolts 4-up-2 in her championship match, while Mudd’s win over Gleason came in at 5-up-4. Those were the only two girls matches played on Thursday.
In the 14-15 boys division, Boualavong beat Hoecker 4-up-3. Boualavong won the Frank Coffey Memorial Tournament 12-15 division last month.
Also in the 14-15 boys division, Aiden Goodman won 3-up-1 over Augie Blinn in the consolation championship match, Jace Murphy downed Finley Taxis 3-up-2 in the first flight, Maddix Hires topped Sam Hughes 7-up-5 for the second flight title, Cooper Appenzeller beat Silas Baxter 3-up-2 for the third flight, Ben Barham won a tight match against Brylan Marten 1-up-19 for the fourth flight title and Matthew Telger beat Bo McFarland 6-up-5 for the fifth flight.
Gavin Anderson beat Jacob Boualavong 6-up-4 for the boys 11-13 division championship at Bergen Golf Course. In the girls’ 11-13 division championship match, Maryn DeVary beat Ivy Hammond 3-up-2.
In the 11-13 boys flight title matches, Parker Alvarado beat Nash Lohrenz 1-up for the consolation championship, Drew Wangard beat Colt Pinkston 1-up-10 in the first flight, Sutton Stotlar defeated Logan Selinger 4-up-2 in the second flight, Leopold Sharpe downed Owen Metz 1-up in the third flight match and Nolan Dean won the fourth flight win a 4-up-3 victory over Colton Woolum.
In the 11-13 girls first flight match, Layken Nichols beat Addison Murphy 1-up.
Reid Conrady beat Louden Nelson 1-up-10 for win the boys 8-10 division title while Bryant Evans beat Beckett Kettelkamp 1-up for the first flight title.
Rosalie Hull beat Maggie Gleason 2-up-1 to win the girls 8-10 division championship title.
