The Chicago Bears will host the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional playoffs, where Chicago has an opportunity to advance to the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 2011.
The Bears are coming off another improbable comeback against the Green Bay Packers, where Chicago scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a 31-27 win at Soldier Field. Quarterback Caleb Williams led four straight scoring drives in the final quarter, including closing the game with three touchdown drives, while the defense came up with some big stops in the second half.
Meanwhile, the Rams are coming off a narrow 34-31 win over the Carolina Panthers, where they avoided another defeat by the NFC South champions. Los Angeles’ run game wasn’t anything to write home about, but quarterback Matthew Stafford threw for three touchdowns, Puka Nacua totaled 111 receiving yards and a score while the Rams’ defense gave up 31 points.
The Bears are early home underdogs against the Rams, which doesn’t really come as a surprise considering Chicago has been sneaking by with improbable comeback wins and Los Angeles has been a consistent team all season. But, as long as the game is close in the fourth quarter, never say never with this Bears team.
