The Chicago Bears will be featured on Christmas in more ways than one this upcoming season. Not only are they scheduled to take on the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day, but they will also be featured on cable television around the holiday season.
On Thursday, with the help of head coach Ben Johnson and tight end Colston Loveland, the team announced they will be the subject of the upcoming Hallmark Channel holiday movie titled “A Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story.” This is the third installment of Hallmark’s Holiday Touchdown series, following 2024’s debut with the Kansas City Chiefs, and 2025’s film featuring the Buffalo Bills.
“My wife Jessica and I will definitely be tuning in for this one,” Johnson said in the social media announcement. Hallmark Media President Darren Abbott believes the team’s history and passionate fanbase makes them a great fit for their next installment in a statement released by the team. “After the tremendous success of our first two Holiday Touchdown movies, we knew we wanted to continue the tradition by partnering with another iconic NFL franchise and fan base. The Chicago Bears have a rich history, passionate supporters, and a culture that extends far beyond the football field, making them a perfect fit for a heartwarming holiday story. We can’t wait for audiences to experience this story and celebrate the passion and spirit that bring Bears fans together.”
Clearly the Bears’ success on the field last season is paying dividends off of it. Chicago has been one of the more marketable teams this offseason following their 11-6 season that resulted in an NFC North division title, from Caleb Williams earning the Madden 27 cover to the numerous prime-time games on the schedule. And now, a holiday movie that could feature some player cameos. 2026 is surely shaping up to be a very “Beary” Christmas.
