Boerkircher will earn a base salary of $885,000 for the 2026 season, and that figure will increase each season, maxing out at $2.049 million in 2029, the final year of his deal. His base salary amounts from 2026 through 2028 are guaranteed as well.

The aforementioned signing bonus will be prorated for salary cap purposes over the life of the contract, accounting for $667,545 against the cap each season.

Boerkircher could compete with Quintin Morris for the blocking-heavy TE2 role right away. His presence also provides Liam Coen with the flexibility to utilize more three-tight-end sets — a growing trend in the NFL.

Although he had limited targets in college, the Jaguars are bullish about his ability to impact the passing game.
