Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly buying a mansion in South Florida.
He won’t be the first billionaire to live in the area known as Billionaire Bunker, but he and his wife probably won’t be popping by to borrow a cup of sugar from like Jeff Bezos, Ivanka Trump and Tom Brady.
Here’s what we know.
Is Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg moving to Florida?
Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, are reportedly buying a mansion on Miami’s Indian Creek, better known as Billionaire Bunker, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The home, located on a man-made barrier island, is said to be owned by a limited liability company connected to Peter Cancro, the founder of Jersey Mike’s Subs.
Neighbors said the Zuckerbergs plan to move to the almost-two-acre estate by April.
How much is the home Zuckerberg may be buying?
The Indian Creek home could sell for an estimated $150 million to $200 million, real estate agents told the Wall Street Journal.
“Aerial views of the property show it sits across Biscayne Bay and features a private dock, wraparound terraces, lush landscaping, a waterfront pool, charming blue shutters and other elaborate amenities,” according to FoxBusiness.
“There is currently only one home listed for sale on Indian Creek Island — an enormous nine-bedroom mansion just a few doors down from Zuckerberg’s alleged new spread — which is on the market for $200 million,” according to Realtor.com.
The home Zuckerberg is reportedly buying has not been officially put on the market, something that’s not uncommon for homes at this price.

The tax would be “paid only by Californians worth more than $1 billion — about 200 people — who together hold $2 trillion in wealth, most of which will never be taxed in their lifetimes due to loopholes in state and federal tax laws,” according to cabillionairetax.org.
It has been reported tech billionaires, such as Google cofounder Larry Page and venture capitalist Peter Thiel, are threatening to leave California over the wealth tax.
