Six games tonight get the 2026 NFL preseason off and running. While the Jacksonville Jaguars won’t be involved, their opening game isn’t far away.
The Jags begin joint practices with the New Orleans Saints today ahead of their first preseason game at the Superdome. Fans won’t be seeing the Jaguars’ starters in the game, so Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter (at cornerback, at least) will be getting their work in during practice only.
That means the focus will lie on the rookie class and those hoping to fill out the Week 1 roster as the Jaguars eye a second straight playoff berth, something the team hasn’t accomplished since the 1999 season. Fans will get their first look at tight end Nate Boerkircher, guard Emmanuel Pregnon and defensive tackle Albert Regis, among other draft picks the Jags hope turn into key members of the squad.

Jaguars schedule: Jacksonville’s next game
The Jaguars kick off their preseason on Saturday, Aug. 15, against the New Orleans Saints. The game will air on WFOX (Fox Channel 30) in Jacksonville. Streaming options include Fubo, which offers a free trial for new subscribers.
