What does the Bucs Super Bowl window look like in 2026?

Every NFL team is looking to create a Super Bowl window for their franchise. They can achieve this through three ways: Making trades, signing free agents, and drafting superstars. None of them is easy to do, or else everyone would. Rather, the teams that are good at it create not just windows, but sometimes setups that would make Kliff Kingsbury’s designer blush.

For the Bucs, their window is closing, but it remains open for the time being. Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon discussed it all for every team in the NFL, and with Tampa Bay, he suggests they have a window of 1-3 years.

Gagnon explains his rationale, writing, “As of right now, Baker Mayfield is entering a contract year. The 31-year-old may have peaked already, and this roster is aging out more than it’s growing. We can sense a rebuild in a year or two.”

Mayfield is going to be the center of the universe as it relates to the Bucs in 2026 and beyond. Either the team hits reset, or they stick with Mayfield. While the window is listed at 1-3 years, it could easily be on the lower end of that spectrum.
