How long has Jourdan Lewis been with the Jaguars?

Lewis was originally drafted in 2017 by the Dallas Cowboys, and established himself as a solid, reliable cornerback, and was known as a leader in the locker room. In 2025, the Jaguars signed him to a three-year, $30 million contract.

Recapping Jourdan Lewis’ 2025 season

Despite struggling through multiple injuries, Lewis still managed to have a productive season. He ended 2025 with a season-ending foot injury, which required surgery and took him off the field just before playoffs. Lewis appeared in 12 games, and had 39 total tackles, 10 passes defensed, and two interceptions, lining up mostly at the nickel cornerback position. Lewis also quickly established himself as one of the leaders on this Jaguars’ team.

Looking ahead to 2026 for Jourdan Lewis

The biggest question for Lewis is whether or not he can return to form after an injury-laden season. While his spot on the roster is secure, the cornerback room is also a crowded one. The Jaguars re-signed Montaric Brown three-year, $31.8 million deal in the offseason, and Lewis will be playing alongside Jarrian Jones and Travis Hunter.

Like Lewis, Hunter was also injured last season, but the two of them are expected to make up the Jaguars’ starting cornerback trio alongside Brown. Head coach Liam Coen has been optimistic about the recovery timeline for both Hunter and Lewis, even though neither will be training with the team during offseason programs.
