For University of North Florida softball, a historic postseason is ready for its next chapter.
The Ospreys, fresh off their first-ever ASUN softball tournament title, now advance to the next step of their playoff march at the NCAA Columbia Regional at Columbia, S.C.
This is UNF’s first-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament for softball, and the regional places them in a four-team double-elimination pool against No. 8 South Carolina, Elon and opening opponent Virginia.
With one more home run, the Ospreys’ Allison Benning could become the second player in NCAA softball history to record 20 wins and 20 homers in the same season.
