The 2026 Pebble Beach Pro-Am will once again see most of the top golfers on the PGA Tour gather at the cliffs above the Pacific Ocean. Everyone on the top-10 and 42 of the top-50 in the World Golf Rankings will be there, including everyone with a Tour victory this year: Justin Rose, two-time winner Chris Gotterup and No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. The reigning champ at Pebble Beach, Rory McIlroy, will make his season debut.
And he’ll do so alongside Jeff Rhodes, co-manager of global healthcare firm TPG Capital. Scheffler will partner with David Abeles, CEO of TaylorMade Golf. All of the pros on the course this weekend will be paired with amateurs over the first two rounds of the tournament. After all, that’s what a “Pro-Am” means.
Pebble Beach has a storied history of prolonged pro-am events, dating to the tournament’s founding 80 years ago as Bing Crosby’s Clambake. Comedians Jack Lemmon and Bill Murray have taken part, as have legendary quarterback Joe Montana and his successor with the San Francisco 49ers, Steve Young. The latter will be back again this year, as well as another ex-Niners QB in Alex Smith and one of the NFL’s biggest stars, Travis Kelce. Could he bring fiancée Taylor Swift along?

The amateurs taking part this year range come from several backgrounds, be it sports, music or business. Super Bowl and NBA Finals champions will be there, as will billionaires and team owners, plus current and former members of the PGA Tour board of directors. And don’t say sports can’t be political: Ron DeSantis, the governor of Florida, is bringing his clubs, as is a former U.S. secretary of State.
