WATCH: Jaguars' Dyami Brown gets off to fast start vs. Bengals

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Dyami Brown put the first points on the board in Sunday’s Week 2 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Brown recorded two catches for 27 yards and a touchdown, to take an early 7-0 lead over Cincinnati on the road.

The six-foot, 195-pound wideout first picked up a first down early in Jacksonville’s drive on an 18-yard catch to move the chains.

Then, just six plays later, Brown capped off the Jaguars’ nine-play, 69-yard scoring drive with a nine-yard touchdown catch.

Head coach Liam Coen was impressed with his new free-agent signee’s performance in the Jaguars’ 26-10 Week 1 win over the Panthers.

“The one thing about Dyami that really did show up was his effort without the ball in his hands,” Coen said earlier this week. “Helping down the field blocking, motions, just doing the right things. I was pleased with his outing.”

He was targeted four times against Carolina, resulting in three catches for 52 yards, including a 23-yard reception. He gained a first down every time he touched the ball and was second on the team in receiving yards, only behind Brenton Strange (59).

Brown is the team’s leading receiver against the Bengals through two possessions, averaging 13.5 yards per catch with 27 yards.
