FSU softball player named ACC Pitcher of the Week

The No. 8 Florida State softball team has done nothing but win in recent days, with the team at an overall record of 43-7 and a conference record of 18-3. Having won seven straight games, they remain in a strong position to continue on to the postseason and win the ACC regular-season championship.

As a result of her strong performance, Ashtyn Danley has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week by the conference. This was an exceptional week for her, with an undefeated record on the mound and taking down a top-10 team in the Florida Gators.

Per the ACC, she allowed just one run on five hits in 11.2 innings pitched and posted a 0.60 ERA.Further, she finished the week with seven strikeouts while holding hitters to a .125 batting average.

For the whole season, Danley has an ERA of 2.28 and an 11-1 overall record. She remains an incredibly strong option on the mound that has shut down the very best in the country.

Florida State continues its season when it travels to Gainesville for a one-game match against the rival No. 8 Florida Gators. They will try to get their second win against the Gators on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, and fans can catch the game on the SEC Network.
