The new year has brought a new crop of Florida Power & Light Athlete of the Week nominees.
Paxton’s Cade Stewart closed out 2025 as the last AOTW, joining classmate Kenzie Lassiter, Niceville’s Camrin Pearson, Teray Geiger and Jakobe Gilyard, Choctaw’s Carter Marracco, Tamen Zabetakis and Jordan Figueroa, Walton’s Kaden Fuentes and Whitton West, Baker’s Wyatt Straight, Fort Walton Beach’s Sawyer Downs and Diandre Mayes, Crestview’s Manwell Robinson and Trey Hardman, Freeport’s Emily Doi, and South Walton’s Connor Rooney and Maci Jones as past winners.
Who’ll follow their lead? That’s for you to decide. Voting runs through noon Friday, so vote now and vote often.
Athlete of the Week Nominees
Maleeya Brammer, Navarre: In a 3-1 week for the 13-2 Raiders, the senior combined for 62 points, 30 rebounds, four steals and seven blocks.
Kenna Cook, Paxton: The junior delivered 16 points, six steals and three rebounds in Paxton’s 65-21 win over Opp.
Carson Fayard, Niceville: In a 3-1 week for the Fayard combined for the 13-3 Eagles, the Air Force-bound senior combined for 72 points, 24 rebounds and 18 steals.
