A local crackdown on what are called “storefront casinos,” or illegal gambling shops, has led to the arrest of two men, authorities said June 29:
Here’s what happened: The Florida Gaming Control Commission conducted a search warrant on a business along Apalachee Parkway that was being overseen by Brown. Law enforcement found 77 slot machines and $18,414 alongside boxes containing drug paraphernalia.
Brown was previously arrested in October 2025 for similar charges after running another illegal arcade along West Pensacola Street. He was originally out on bond for his October arrest but has now had bond revoked, according to court records.
On the same day, officers conducted another search warrant for a location on South Magnolia Drive where they found 36 stand-up slot machines and 24 PC-based slot machines.
As they were apprehending Williams, who acted as a security guard for what the state is calling an illegal arcade, they located 3.6 grams of marijuana in his pockets, along with rolled up bills which had a methamphetamine pill inside. Williams is currently out on $250 bond.
