The deadly crash happened about 9:15 a.m. July 10 near the intersection of Stadium Parkway and North Wickham Road. Troopers said a southbound 2017 Hyundai sedan driven by an unnamed 90-year-old man struck the bicyclist, who was traveling westbound on Wickham.

An independent witness advised that the driver of the sedan had the green traffic light, and the bicyclist went through the intersection on a red light, Florida Highway Patrol said.

The bicyclist, a man whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, who told troopers that he had the green light at the moment of the collision, was not injured.

No arrests were made.

The crash remains under investigation.
