1. Battle of the Bands & Pop-Up Youth Market, Boca Raton
This event at the Mizner Park Amphitheater will feature electrifying performances as bands compete for the grand prize of $2500. There will be a teen category and a 20-and-older competition. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets and to explore nearby restaurants and shops. Chairs are available to rent for $5 (cash only).

2. Jazz Brunch featuring Susan Merritt Trio, West Palm Beach
Held at the Norton Museum of Art’s The Restaurant, this event features all the brunch menu favorites you crave like French toast and frittatas along with salads, grilled cheese, hand-rolled ricotta cavatelli and more. Add the sweet sounds of the Susan Merritt Trio and their repertoire of Great American Songbook classics, bossa novas, jazz standards for the perfect morning/afternoon.

3. Food Truck Expo and Concert featuring VAM Band, Royal Palm Beach
The Great Lawn at Commons Park hosts the Food Truck Expo, featuring plenty of food trucks to satisfy all your cravings along with the VAM Band who will be bringing their high-energy ‘Funk Tribute’ dance music to keep the mood hopping.

4. First Friday Art Walk, Delray Beach
Discover downtown Delray Beach’s vibrant art scene through self guided tours of art galleries and studios. Meet and greet artists, take part in workshops, see and hear live entertainment and more.

5. Back-To-School “Party in the Park,” Wellington
This Back-to-School party will be held at the Wellington Amphitheater and will include a Children’s Market, with approximately 30 youth vendors, that encourages creativity, builds confidence, and gives children the opportunity to learn about selling products and interacting with customers in a fun, supportive environment. There will also be bounce houses, costumed character meet-and-greets, face painting, a DJ, food trucks and more.

Bonus: Banyan Concert, West Palm Beach
The culminating performance of the Banyan Dance Festival (which runs Aug. 3-8) brings together a collection of artists, choreographers, and companies for an unforgettable evening of dance.
