Naples has shown its love for Darius Rucker at his concerts in town over the last decade. And now he’s shown his love for the city right back.
The award-winning musician rocked an FC Naples soccer T-shirt during a recent concert in Kansas City.
Rucker wore it when he performed at the Starlight Theatre on July 31 for his Songs of Summer 2026 Tour. FC Naples is in the USL League One professional soccer club that plays home games at Paradise Coast Sports Complex.
What happened in Kansas City
Mollie Page of Naples posted Aug. 1 on Facebook that Rucker was wearing the tee, along with a photo as proof.
“So, I’m at a Darius Rucker concert in Kansas City and he’s wearing an FC Naples t-shirt,” she said.
Page said in a Facebook message that Rucker didn’t say anything about the FC Naples or his shirt during the concert.
Darius Rucker connection to Naples
Rucker in December 2025 headlined the Naples’ sixth-annual Live Fest at Tiburon Golf Club at The Ritz Carlton Golf Resort. The outdoor show was part of the Grant Thornton Invitational, a mixed-team golf event featuring PGA and LPGA pros.
He managed to sing at the Naples event after telling an audience he couldn’t sing during an Atlantic City, New Jersey, show in mid-July 2025.
Last year was the first time the Grammy Award winner returned to Live Fest since playing the inaugural event in 2019 with co-headliner Lady A. Rucker even played golf at Tiburon while he was in town.
What is FC Naples
FC Naples is the first professional soccer club in Southwest Florida, founded in January 2024. The club’s inaugural season was 2025.
