The FSU Seminoles have landed three defensive linemen over the past 10 days, and now they are working on filling the edge position. One of their targets is Katrell Webb, a three-star prospect from Suwanee, Georgia, who just took an official visit to Tallahassee.
Webb admitted that he gets a different feeling from the Seminoles than anyone else.
“I love all the people down here,” he told Warchant’s Michael Langston. “This is really uncomparable — the family feeling you get down here at FSU. That was my favorite part.”
He is ready to make his decision after the visit, and the Seminoles are battling a pair of Big Ten programs for him.
“I feel I have enough time when I get back home to decide. So definitely in a week I’ll decide,” Webb said. “It’s FSU, Purdue and Indiana, as they have been in my recruitment for a while and pushing for a long time. Those three schools for sure.”
Webb is the No. 607 overall player and No. 60 edge in On3’s industry ranking. The 6-foot-2, 255-pounder is also the No. 66 player from Georgia.
He had an excellent junior season for Collins Hill High School, helping them go 11-2. He finished with 68 tackles, 29.0 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, 21 quarterback hurries, one interception, and two fumble recoveries.
