These Brevard eateries have tables waiting for moms this Mother's Day

“All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother,” said Abraham Lincoln.

To show our mothers how much we owe them, and to express our love and appreciation, once a year, we ask her to stop cooking, cleaning and telling us not to put things in our mouths because we don’t know where they’ve been.

It is our day to take care of Mom, and we do so with a meal at her favorite restaurant, and Brevard’s eateries offer special menus and hours just to accommodate her. This year’s big day is May 10, and here are just a few of the restaurants that will honor those very special people.

Brasas Grill, 325 E. Merritt Island Cswy. will offer a “Surf & Turf Brunch” 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with last seating at 1:30 p.m. A variety of meats carved at the table, seafood, vegetables and other foods will be available, as will breakfast foods. Double Tapp Grill, 404 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, will serve brunch from 8 a.m. to noon, with traditional brunch fare such as biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles nd a two-egg breakfast. Prices have yet to be named. Call 321-312-4578.

Indian River Preserve Golf Club, 3950 Clubhouse Dr., Mims: Mother’ Day brunch, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will include many options, including salad, carving, hot food and dessert stations.
