THE DISH La Goulue Palm Beach now offering Spain's Iberico ham

A prized delicacy from Spain has been added to the weekly lineup of specials at La Goulue in Palm Beach.

Spain’s famed cured ham — Jamon Iberico Pata Negra, also known as Jamon Iberico de Bellota — is offered two nights a week at La Goulue, 288 S. County Road.

Renowned for its melt-in-your mouth quality and tradition, the ham draws its flavor from the diet of acorns that black pigs enjoy in certain Spanish regions.

This “culinary luxury item” reflects what La Goulue is all about — high-quality deliciousness in a French bistro — executive chef Gwen Le Pape told the Daily News.

La Goulue offers tableside service — slicing and plating — of Jamon Iberico Pata Negra from 6 to 9 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays

It’s generally a two-ounce portion and therefore suggested as an appetizer. The cost is $60 per plate.

“At La Goulue, we are always looking to elevate the dining experience through exceptional ingredients and thoughtful presentation,” Le Pape said.

Jamon Iberico Pata Negra brings “a sense of ritual while revealing depth of flavor,” he said.
