Tense standoff in Ormond Beach ends with suspect's surrender

ORMOND BEACH — A man who had allegedly pulled a gun on a neighbor and barricaded himself in his home at the Pinewood Estates Mobile Home Park on Hand Avenue has been taken into custody, according to police reports.

The suspect eventually came to his door after an armored vehicle drove up, and he was grabbed by members of a SWAT team just before 1 p.m.

Authorities said there were reports of an argument at the mobile home park and that the suspect may have pulled a gun on the neighbor. He and his girlfriend then barricaded themselves in their mobile home,

The woman eventually came out around shortly after 11 a.m., authorities said.
