A roundup of FHSAA state track and field results from May 6-9, 2026:
Class 4A
Gateway senior Dylan Gourley saved his best for last, winning the pole vault at the Class 4A state meet at the University of North Florida on Saturday.
Gourley recorded a PR vault of 4.65 meters to bring home the gold in his final high school meet.
Class 3A
Two seniors finished their high school careers as state champions at the Class 3A meet at the University of North Florida on Friday.
Entering the 110 hurdles with the best time in the state, Dunbar senior hurdler Kobe Johnson won with a time of 13.72.
In the 400 hurdles, Johnson set a PR to finish as runner up after coming in as the sixth seed.
The Dunbar boys finished in seventh as a team overall. Senior Chancey Alexander came in third place in the 800 meters.
Barron Collier senior Cherldine Paul won the shot put with a throw of 14.21 meters.
Riverdale junior Levi McKenzie and Gulf Coast senior Kala Valeiras each earned three medals in the sprints. Valeiras also teamed up with Amerie Carry, Kiara Rakes and Elishka Lambcke to come in sixth in the 4×400 relay.
North Fort Myers senior Giovanna Molloy finished as state runner up in the pole vault.

Class 2A
The Bishop Verot boys came in seventh place at the Class 2A meet at the University of North Florida on Thursday.
In his first track and field season, senior Aaron Kluener earned a state title in the javelin with a PR throw of 58.95 meters.
Verot senior Jadrien Carmo set PRs in both his individual races, coming in second in the 400 meters and third in the 200 meters.
The Aubrey Rogers relay team of Logan Eastman, Jon Ellis, Salvador Jimenez and Braden Turner earned a state title in the 4×800 relay with their best time of the season.
Oasis senior Jazlyn Forbes earned a pair of medals in the distance races, coming in third in the 3200 meters and fifth in the 1600 meters.

First Baptist senior Caleb Paul went out on top, winning the Class 1A triple jump title with a massive PR of 14.37 meters on Wednesday. His leap was the top local result in the first day of the state track and field championships at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.
Canterbury senior Joslyne De La Nuez was a double medalist, finishing second in the 100 hurdles and fourth in the 200 meters.
Community School junior Aniston Newman also medaled in two events, coming in fourth in the 100 hurdles and the long jump.
St. John Neumann senior Logan Bartelt finished as state runner-up in the 800 meters, crossing the finish line after 1:55.15.
Community School senior Jace Jackson earned a pair of medals in the field events, coming in third in shot put and sixth in discus.
The Community School boys came in 12th place, and the Canterbury girls finished 11th for the top results among Southwest Florida teams.
