The fast food joint known for its “fresh, never frozen” square burgers, chili, Frostys and more has permanently closed yet another one of its Tallahassee locations.
On Sunday, May 3, Tallahassee resident and radio personality Greg Tish notified residents with a picture of a white note taped to the drive-thru speaker reading “Permanently Closed.” It also encouraged patrons to visit the nearest location on Thomasville Road.
The sudden shuttering of Wendy’s Bradfordville location on 3451 Bannerman Road is in line with the company’s strategy to close “underperforming units.”
According to a transcript reported by Investing.com Wendy’s interim CEO and chief financial officer, Ken Cook announced in an earnings call Nov. 7 that with the closure of the underperforming units — up to 360 stores nationwide — is intended to boost sales for remaining locations in the market.
Tallahassee has already felt that impact. In late 2025, the Wendy’s on Ocala and Pensacola Street, directly across from the WestEnd Square shopping center closed. By April 2026, the Bradfordville location followed. The Wendy’s at 2122 Capital Circle NE is also listed as permanently closed.
Documents show each Tallahassee location was owned by separate entities.
What Wendy’s locations remain in Tallahassee?
