The Palm Beach Post’s Spring All-County teams are here!
The Post is proud to announce the Player of the Year nominees for large school boys track and field. Player of the Year winners will be announced at the Palm Beach County High School Sports Awards, which will be held at the SoFi Center on the Palm Beach Gardens campus of Palm Beach State College on May 28.

As usual, Horn’s Sharks specialized in distance and field events at a championship level. The Spanish River boys team only had five athletes score points at the Class 4A state championships but they still managed to finish as state runner-up thanks to top podium finishes in the pole vault and distance events. That same small group managed to grab a third-place finish at regionals and a district championship. Spanish River’s boys squad also won the county championship. Horn’s top runner, Preston Sangely, set the county standard and came within a second of a historic quadruple state championship.
