We are diving into some fantasy football content this offseason as we look to bring in all sorts of football fans to Bucs Wire. While offensive players often dominate fantasy football discussions, IDP leagues continue to grow in popularity, offering another way for fans to enjoy the game.
We will start with some rookie profiles and how they fit into the landscape of the teams that drafted them. Next up is Buffalo Bills edge defender TJ Parker.
Parker enters the NFL after three productive seasons at Clemson, where he became one of the more consistent edge defenders in the ACC. His best college season came in 2024, when he generated 51 pressures, 12 sacks, and earned an 88.1 defensive grade from PFF.

Reason to Believe in TJ Parker in 2026: Production gives him a path
Parker has the type of college production that makes him easy to track in IDP leagues. Across three seasons at Clemson, he generated 127 pressures and 24 sacks while playing more than 1,600 defensive snaps. That kind of workload and consistency matter when projecting a rookie edge defender into a rotational role.
The Bills also have a strong defensive front around him. Greg Rousseau remains one of the better edge defenders in football, while Bradley Chubb gives Buffalo a proven veteran presence on the opposite side. That means Parker will not have to carry the pass rush right away, which could allow him to develop in a more manageable role.
Parker’s profile is not built only on sacks, either. He showed enough run-defense ability at Clemson to avoid being viewed as a pure pass-rush specialist. If he earns trust on early downs, his snap count could grow faster than expected.
2026 Outlook
Parker’s rookie fantasy value depends heavily on opportunity. He is currently listed behind Bradley Chubb at right outside linebacker, which likely puts him in a rotational role to begin the season.
That limits his redraft ceiling, but it does not erase his appeal. Parker has enough production, size and pass-rush ability to become useful if injuries strike or Buffalo expands its edge rotation during the year.
For now, fantasy managers should view Parker as a watch-list player in most redraft leagues and a late-round stash in deeper sack-heavy IDP formats.
