High school football season is knocking on the door.
The first snaps are growing closer by the day across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida, with the preseason kickoff classics on the way for Florida High School Athletic Association teams on Aug. 13 and 14.
Most Jacksonville-area FHSAA teams have a kickoff classic on the schedule, which serves as a valuable tune-up for Week 1 action on Aug. 21.
For teams in the Sunshine State Athletic Association, on the other hand, Aug. 14 marks the start of the actual regular season, and their games count in the standings. The SSAA games are listed with the regular season schedule rather than here.
Here is the FHSAA preseason high school game schedule for 2026 in Northeast Florida. All games are as listed on MaxPreps or by the respective athletic departments, but all dates and times are subject to change.
