The Sarasota Police Department is asking the public for help locating Dameon Jashuan Brydson, who is wanted on firearm charges stemming from the Booker High School incident on July 18.
Police say Brydson, 27, is from Palmetto and is a four-time convicted felon on probation for felon in possession of a firearm. He now has an active warrant for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm on school property as a result of the Booker High incident.
The Sarasota Police Department responded to calls of gunshots in the Booker High School parking lot on Saturday, July 18, at about 2:20 p.m. The shooting took place during a non-school-sponsored youth football event, and no injuries were reported.
Police are asking anyone who knows Brydson’s whereabouts to call 911 or Crime Stoppers of Sarasota at 941-366-TIPS (8477).
