The Sarasota Herald-Tribune unveiled its 2026 All-Area Baseball Team selections.
We honored the top athletes from Manatee and Sarasota counties by naming First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mentions lists for baseball.
We also named the Baseball Player of the Year among the 18 First-Team honorees with Venice High’s Carter Cox as the winner
Now we will let you have your say. Do you agree with Cox being our pick for Baseball Player of the Year, or do you prefer a different First-Team selection? Vote in our fans’ poll to make your pick for the Herald-Tribune Baseball Player of the Year.
Voting will remain open until Friday, June 19, 2026, at 10 a.m. We will announce the winners on Instagram at heraldtribunesports
