It doesn’t look like much right now, but in the not too distant future the dirt being moved and graded around at the corner of Rattlesnake Hammock Drive and Collier Boulevard will be the home of Naples’ second Costco.
Naples Daily News visual journalist Andrew West visited the project site on May 15 and his array of photos in the gallery below show the early phases underway for the construction of what will eventually be a 162,700 square foot store.
The site where the work is underway spans nearly 26 acres. When finished it will also include:

What’s the latest date on SWFL opening of new Naples Costco?

As In the Know first reported earlier this year, the hope in Naples was that the Collier Boulevard construction on the 26 Rattlesnake Hammock Road acres would start as soon as March. It actually ended up kicking into high gear in April.
So while fall remains the goal with late autumn a possibility − if all the pieces come together, Collier officials wouldn’t be surprised if the ribbon-cutting happens in early winter.

It’s located at 6275 Naples Blvd.
Another Costco coming to SW Florida
Earlier this month, on May 13, Costco purchased a 55-acre site in Fort Myers for $55 million to build a new store. The new, larger location is expected to replace the current, overcrowded Fort Myers store.
The development site is at the intersection of Colonial Boulevard and Plantation Road, with additional frontage along Metro Parkway.
