A new Treasure Coast Costco store is on the horizon.
City officials were told July 13 that the grocery retailer could open its long-awaited Port St. Lucie location in 2027, after the city council unanimously approved selling 22.8 acres to Costco Wholesale for $6 million in March.
The Treasure Coast’s first and only Costco warehouse came to the area not long ago.
Stuart became the first city across Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties to welcome a Costco store in April of 2025. A massive crowd of customers arrived at the new store’s opening bright and early, following a years-long wait.

Port St. Lucie’s long-awaited Costco store could open in 2027, city officials were told July 13.

The long-awaited store brought shoppers to the line as early 5:15 a.m. A massive crowd stood waiting at the front of the store before the doors opened, but the line snaked around past the tire center and even further, into the parking lot, before opening.
