Paxton sophomore Cade Stewart is the latest Florida Power & Light Athlete of the Week after delivering 49 points and 42 rebounds in a 4-0 week to close out 2025 for the 11-2 Bobcats.
Stewart is averaging 10.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 steals for the Bobcats, who have won four straight and are otuscoring foes 57-46.
Stewart, a name renowned in Paxton lore, joins classmate Kenzie Lassiter, Niceville’s Camrin Pearson, Teray Geiger and Jakobe Gilyard, Choctaw’s Carter Marracco, Tamen Zabetakis and Jordan Figueroa, Walton’s Kaden Fuentes and Whitton West, Baker’s Wyatt Straight, Fort Walton Beach’s Sawyer Downs and Diandre Mayes, Crestview’s Manwell Robinson and Trey Hardman, Freeport’s Emily Doi, and South Walton’s Connor Rooney and Maci Jones as past AOTW winners.
Athlete of the Week nominees
Robert Morse, Walton: In a 4-0 week for the 11-0 Braves, the senior delivered 54 points and 10 steals.
Sean Simon, FWB: The senior delivered a team-high 12 points in the Vikings’ 58-57 win at Crestview.
Alexis Smith, FWB: The senior produced a game-high 19 points and 13 rebounds in the Vikings’ 45-40 victory over Niceville.
Cade Stewart, Paxton: The sophomore delivered 49 points and 42 rebounds in a 4-0 week for the 11-2 Bobcats.
