Palm Beach Opera brings industry veteran to oversee division

Palm Beach Opera has named longtime arts administrator and educator Alisa Magallón as its new director of education and community engagement. She brings more than 15 years of experience in opera education, community outreach, and program development to the company. Magallón joins Palm Beach Opera after an extensive tenure with Houston Grand Opera, where she held multiple leadership roles. Founded in 1961, Palm Beach Opera is dedicated to producing live opera at an international standard of excellence, enriching the lives of the communities it serves.

Good Samaritan Medical Center names chief human resources officer

Good Samaritan Medical Center has named Tracey Crandall, MBA, SHRM-SCP, to the position of chief human resources officer. Crandall joins Palm Beach Health Network and Good Samaritan Medical Center from a hospital in Rhode Island where she served as vice president of human resources. She brings a proven track record of success in leading human resources strategy across complex healthcare organizations, supporting stability, growth, and operational excellence. Good Samaritan Medical Center is a 333-bed acute care hospital, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, that’s provided medical care to Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast with over 100 years of experience.

Ex-MLB, NFL player joins Township Capital in Palm Beach

Former Major League Baseball and National Football League player Josh Booty has joined Township Capital as a brand ambassador and member of their investor board. Based in Palm Beach, Township Capital is dedicated to bridging individual investors with institutional-grade commercial real estate opportunities.

Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel adds to team

Lesser, Landy, Smith & Siegel, PLLC recently announced that Austin R. Diaz has joined the firm as an attorney in its West Palm Beach office. He will focus his practice on catastrophic personal injury and complex civil litigation, including vehicular negligence, trucking, maritime, premises liability, products liability, construction defect, negligent security, and medical malpractice matters in both state and federal courts.

Roberto M. Vargas, shareholder and co-chair of the complex litigation & dispute resolution team at Jones Foster was presented the HomeSafe Hero Award at HomeSafe’s Classic Rock and Roll Party held on Jan. 24 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood. The annual award celebrates supporters whose leadership and contributions have significantly advanced HomeSafe’s mission of providing support and healing for victims of child abuse and domestic violence.

Boca West Country Club recognized by Golf Business Network

The honor was bestowed on the club by Golf Business Network at its Annual Award event in Orlando. The prestigious award recognizes outstanding contributions from dedicated professionals and clubs in the private golf and country club sector. Nominated by their peers, the winners were selected from over 200 nominations. “We are so honored to named Club of the Year, and nominated by our peers from around the nation,” said Matthew Linderman, CCM, president, COO and general manager of the club. Boca West Country Club is a private, resident-only, luxury country club community that has four championship golf courses, an award-winning USTA tennis facility, a luxurious spa, six renowned restaurants, and an active social community.
