Junior League announces 2026-27 board members
The Junior League of the Palm Beaches recently announced its 2026–2027 board of directors. As the league builds upon its 85-year legacy of service in the Palm Beaches, the incoming board will guide strategic initiatives, strengthen community partnerships and support programs that create meaningful impact for local women, children and families. The 2026–2027 board includes: Emily Schachtel, president; Katie Velotta, executive vice president; Courtney Tarsa, president-elect; Kai Anderson Cloud, treasurer; Allison Freeman, secretary; Maria Pumarejo, nominating chair; Kathleen Joy, board member at large; Melissa Schumacher, board member at large; and Christina Lamport, board member at large.
Former U.S. diplomat launches Bridging Momentum Waves
Suzie L. Jacinthe has launched Bridging Momentum Waves, an executive leadership and organizational health practice based in Boca Raton. The practice serves senior and emerging executives and organizations across the public, private, and social sectors — including mission-driven and nonprofit organizations — virtually across the U.S. and beyond. Jacinthe brings more than 20 years of leadership experience as a public health practitioner and former U.S. diplomat. Bridging Momentum Waves advises leaders and teams navigating transitions, organizational complexity, and high-stakes environments.
Preservation Foundationbrings back former team member
The Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach recently announced that Jordan Hodges has rejoined the organization as director of strategic Initiatives. Hodges will oversee key strategic initiatives that advance the foundation’s mission to preserve and protect Palm Beach’s historic, architectural, botanical and cultural heritage while helping guide special projects and organizational priorities. Hodges previously served on the Preservation Foundation team in 2025.
Palm Beach State College Foundation adds three board members
The Palm Beach State College Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Palm Beach State College dedicated to expanding access to higher education and strengthening the community, has announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors: Sarah Elwell, chief executive officer of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches; Dr. Naved Fatmi, D.M.D., FICD, FACD, owner of Health and Wellness Dentistry and former chair of the Florida Board of Dentistry; and Kenneth R. Kennerly, president & CEO of K2 Sports Ventures and a 37-year veteran of the sports marketing and event management industry.
McNicholas & Associates adds Juan Carlos Fanjul to team
McNicholas & Associates has announced the hiring of Juan Carlos Fanjul as executive vice president, further strengthening the firm’s leadership team and expanding its capabilities in strategic communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement. An Emmy Award-winning communications professional and native of Palm Beach County, Fanjul joins McNicholas & Associates with a distinguished career spanning journalism, leadership, institutional advancement, and community engagement. McNicholas & Associates is a public affairs and public relations firm headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens with additional offices in Tallahassee and Charleston, SC.
Boynton Beach Chamber announces appointments
The Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry and Commerce recently announced the appointment of four accomplished member volunteers to newly defined leadership roles. These positions reflect the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to member engagement, operational excellence, and long-term strategic growth. Tammy Sirmons was named director, new member relations and will serve as the first point of contact for every individual and business joining the Chamber; Raquel Hernandez is an operations coordinator where she will support the planning and execution of chamber events and assist with weekly member communications; Bethany Castro will focus on developing and refining best practices for two of the chamber’s key programs: the Ambassador Program and the Social Media Program; and Dennis Paul will serve as chief strategy officer and will work directly with the chamber’s CEO and executive vice president on high-priority special projects. The Boynton Beach Chamber of Industry and Commerce unites members and residents to create a vibrant city while providing essential tools and support for all businesses.
