The Florida High School Athletic Association released its new football classifications for the 2026-27 year Monday, Dec. 8.
However, nothing has really changed in the Big Bend team.
All area teams stayed put.
The one difference is Aucilla Christian, which will be independent after being in the Rural Class in 2024-25 and 2025-26. And St. John Paul II has been left off after discontinuing its football program.
The classification and districts are tentative and won’t be finalized until Dec. 17.

Class 1A District 1
Class 2A, District 2
Class 3A, District 2
Class 4A, District 2
Independent
