Pensacola police and firefighters rescued a man who fell into Pensacola Bay behind Blue Wahoos Stadium Saturday.
The Pensacola Fire Department said B-watch Engine 1 and Battalion Chief 1 responded to a water rescue behind the stadium after a man fell into the water trying to grab his fishing pole.
“The man treaded water as the current pushed him approximately 200 yards along the seawall before Pensacola Police Department officers and our firefighters arrived and ultimately pulled him out,” a PFD release said.
The PFD said the man only sustained minor injuries.
