Founded in New York City by Elisa Marshall and Benjamin Sormonte in 2014, Maman first made their presence known in Palm Beach County in 2024 when they opened at CityPlace in West Palm Beach.
The wildly-popular, French-inspired all-day café, well known for their soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, croissants, cocktails and weekend brunch, is now setting their sights on southern Palm Beach County.
In 2026 they’re planning to open three new restaurants in the county. These will include locations in west Boca Raton at 9959 Glades Road, central Boca Raton at 5250 Town Center Circle and in downtown Delray Beach at 40 S. Swinton Ave.
The three new Maman restaurants will again feature vintage French furniture and, like the restaurant at CityPlace, will include whimsical floral installations by the company Floratorium. They will use Spanish moss and air plants along the walls and on the ceiling to create banyan-esque style trees.
In addition to CityPlace, you can find Maman restaurants in Aventura, Coral Gables, South Beach, Wynwood, Edgewater, Brickell, Brickell Bay and Sunset Harbor.
Marshall said several factors led them to focus on Boca Raton and Delray Beach. First is demand. “We listened to our customers… there are lots of people moving from Miami to Boca Raton,” she said. Conversely, she said there’s still an ongoing migration from New York down to the Boca Raton area along with snowbirds swapping their primary residences in NYC for South Florida homes.
Marshall said that of the three new restaurants, the Delray Beach location will be the most unique. “It’s a little house in the Sundy Village neighborhood,” she said. “It will really standout from a design standpoint and charm… It looks like a cute beach house.”
Marshall said that all of the locations will have outdoor seating, but Delray Beach’s outdoor area will more expansive.
Though Marshall said they are extremely excited about the restaurants, another development at Maman has her practically giddy: a menu collaboration with Martha Stewart.
Yes, that Martha Stewart.
A year-long collaboration kicked off in the fall with several Martha Stewart-inspired dishes. In the pastries and sweets department guests can indulge in Martha Stewart’s ultimate pecan streusel cake or Martha Stewart’s lemon crème brûlée sugar bun and quench a serious South Florida thirst with Martha Stewart’s pomegranate punch featuring pomegranate and blood orange juice shaken with ginger syrup, topped with sparkling water, fresh mint, and pomegranate seeds or Martha Stewart’s cherry elderflower spritz that’s made with homemade cherry elderflower and lime cordial, shaken and then topped with sparkling water then garnished with fresh mint, an an edible pansy flower, and lime wedge.
“We have worked together to co-create some amazing dishes,” Marshall said.
Describing Stewart as “her idol,” Marshall laughed and said this is her dream that’s been “manifesting since I was 10 years old.”
Marshall said they’re hoping to open the new Glades Road and South Swinton restaurants by late summer and the Town Center Circle location in the fall.
Marshall said that though they have many Maman locations, that “When we open café, we focus on not becoming a chain or cookie cutter location. Becoming part of the community is a big focus for us”
