Kai Trump officially signs with University of Miami golf in school ceremony

Kai Trump, eldest grandchild U.S. President Donald J. Trump, has made her college commitment official.

After verbally committing to the University of Miami in August 2024, Trump put pen to paper during Benjamin’s early fall signing ceremony, which took place in the school’s gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 7 at 9:30 a.m.

Trump has split time this year between playing for the Bucs’ high-school team and other golf ventures, including preparation for her LPGA Tour debut, set to take place starting on Monday, Nov. 10.

On Oct. 28, Trump announced she’d received a sponsor’s exemption to play in The ANNIKA pro-am from Nov. 10-16 at Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.

As a result of this, Trump will not be participating in the Class 1A state championship, according to the school. She did not play in the regional tournament, where Benjamin finished third overall behind FAU High and Pine Crest.

This summer, Trump competed in junior and amateur tournaments on the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and the Srixon Medalist Tour on the South Florida PGA, highlighted by a third-place finish in July.

She’s set to be part of the Class of 2030 for Hurricanes women’s golf team, which recently finished first place in the White Sands Invitational in October.
