The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to take on the Miami Dolphins tonight in the last preseason game of the 2025 season. The two teams competed in joint practices earlier in the week, giving an both squads a chance to see how each team stacked up against a different opponent.
Jaguars head coach Liam Coen told reporters his starters would not play in the game, allowing an opportunity for younger players to get game tape as they fight for roster spots. That includes rookie two-way standout Travis Hunter, as he continues to heal from an upper body injury sustained earlier in training camp.
The Dolphins will play some of their starters as they get their final work in a game setting before the regular season begins. Still, it can be expected that most of the game will feature end of roster players on both sides who are trying to make one final splash ahead of the league-wide cut day on Aug. 26.

The Jaguars lost the preseason finale 14-6 after resting, essentially, all of their first and second string players on both sides of the ball for the game.
