Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Jacksonville Jaguars’ full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is linebacker Foyesade Oluokun, who wears No. 23.

How long has Foyesade Oluokun been with the Jaguars?
Oluokun signed with the Jaguars in 2022, after spending the first four years of his career with the Atlanta Falcons. He originally signed a three-year, $45 million deal, but in 2024, signed a new four-year, $45 million contract, keeping him in Jacksonville through 2027.
Recapping Foyesade Oluokun’s 2025 season
Oluokun had a strong 2025 season, with over 100 tackles for the sixth consecutive year. He was also named a team captain, as well as AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1. He ended the year with 143 total tackles (68 solo), one interception, 11 passes defensed, one sack, and two forced fumbles.
One area where Oluokun took a big step forward last season was in coverage, according to Liam Coen. This included Oluokun recording a career-high in pass deflections. Operating in Anthony Campanile’s vision-based defense contributed to that leap.
“I also think vision zone coverage helped him,” Coen said. “Not being in man-match all the time and having your eyes on the receiver, having your eyes on the quarterback and being able to read his eyes, see the route start to distribute and then his studying and training and habits can just go allow him to play fast. Having vision on the quarterback, I though he was a very underrated pass defender last year and I think he’s getting better and better.”
Looking ahead to 2026 for Foyesade Oluokun
Oluokun will continue to be a steady presence in the middle of the Jaguars’ defense. He’s always been a stout run defender and shown the ability to get after the quarterback when needed, but his growth as a coverage defender brings a well-rounded skill set to that unit, and Coen believes he can continue to improve in that area.
What has made Oluokun so reliable over the years is his day-in, day-out consistency.
“My experience with him,” said linebackers coach Tem Lukabu, “having studied him and seen him from before I got in the building, as soon as I got in the building, I’m like, yeah, this guy is taken for granted because he’s one of the most consistent people, consistent players, most intentional people that you’ll ever see. And I hope and pray that I have another five of them in my career. Some guys don’t have a guy that’s this consistent. And it’s just a reminder to me, a lesson to me, like, hey, you’ve got one of those guys now. Let’s make sure we’re making it count while we have them.”
