The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without multiple starters against the Arizona Cardinals this week.
In the team’s final game-status report, the Jaguars listed five players who were ruled out due to injury, while three others were listed as questionable.
The Jaguars entered this week with several starters dealing with various bumps and bruises. Last week, the team was without three starters, wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., cornerback Jourdan Lewis and right tackle Anton Harrison. Turned-starter, tight end Hunter Long, also missed last week’s game.
Thomas and Harrison were ruled out for a second straight week.
New on the injury report this week is defensive end Travon Walker. Walker sustained a knee injury in the team’s win over the Los Angeles Chargers. He returned to the game, but was unable to practice at all this week.
The Jaguars are also looking closely at starting tight end Brenton Strange’s availability this week. Strange began a 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve early last week, but was not activated against the Chargers, leaving the team with another week to help him rehab a hip injury.
If the Jaguars activate Strange, they will do so before Saturday’s 4 p.m. deadline.
