The event is free. Participants are advised to bring a resume and dress professionally. One-on-one interviews will be held, and some participants may be offered a job on the spot.

The district is looking to hire up to 100 instructors, including elementary, special education, English language arts, science and math teachers, along with certified school counselors, school bus drivers, custodial and maintenance workers, and classroom support staff.

Lake County Schools, the 18th largest district in the state, serves about 43,000 students. The A-rated district offers a full list of benefits, including supplemental pay for advanced degrees and Title I schools, paid time off, primary health care services and some generic medications at no cost to covered employees, and life insurance for full-time employees at no cost.

Those interested in working as a bus driver must complete the state licensing requirements and will be offered a paid CDL training program as an incentive for joining the district.
