I-110 resurfacing project may cause nighttime lane closures, ramp closures and detours

Work is set to begin on the repaving of Interstate 110 in Pensacola, and drivers can expect periodic lane closures at night during the project.

The Florida Department of Transportation announced last week that it is beginning a $7.2 million project to repave portions of I-110 between I-10 and U.S. 98 in downtown Pensacola.

The project includes repaving the I-110 ramps between I-10 and the Cervenates Street exit as well as improving guardrails, lights, and stormwater systems.

FDOT said that during construction, drivers may encounter lane closures Sunday through Thursday during the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The work may also require detours when on-ramps and off-ramps will be closed for milling and paving work.

The project is expected to be complete in early 2026.

The I-110 project is the latest of several ongoing road projects in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Here’s the latest traffic advisory from FDOT:
