Hot week ahead in Jacksonville as ‘feels like’ temps near 110

The heat is back in Jacksonville, and it’s not letting up anytime soon. After a week of scattered storms and more comfortable temperatures, a blast of excessive heat is moving in, with the National Weather Service warning of dangerously hot conditions beginning Monday and lingering through the middle of the week

Today, peak “feels-like” temperatures are expected to hit between noon and 6 p.m. tonight, ranging from 103 to 107 degrees.

The heat is sticking around across Jacksonville, with elevated heat index values expected today through midweek. “Feels-like” temperatures (or heat index) are forecast to reach 103 to 107 degrees each day, with readings potentially climbing to 106 to 110 degrees by midweek and possibly lasting into Friday.
