Gas prices in Florida Panhandle among lowest in state amid Iran war

Gas prices have been steadily rising in the United States, including in Florida, since U.S.-Israeli strikes in Iran started Feb. 28.

President Trump said Thursday, March 5, he was not concerned about rising U.S. gas prices driven by the expanding Iran war, telling Reuters in an exclusive interview the U.S. military operation was his priority.

At least seven U.S. soldiers have been killed in the ongoing war with Iran, including one from Florida.

The average gas price for a gallon of regular is $3.494 in the Sunshine State March 9, although Floridians in the Panhandle are enjoying cheaper gas prices compared to much of Florida.

According to AAA, average gas prices in Santa Rosa County and Escambia County are among the lowest in Florida’s counties, along with Okaloosa, Bay, Gadsden and Walton, all between $3.079 and $3.218.
