Gadsden County standout Jamarion Davis earned top honors in the latest Big Bend high school football fan poll, finishing as the leading vote-getter among the area’s defensive backs.
Davis received 37.32% of the 12,358 votes cast, narrowly edging Rickards’ Tyler Walker Jr., who garnered 33.91%. Madison County’s Kemonte Lee finished third with 16.07%.
The recognition comes as Davis prepares for what could be a breakout junior season in 2026. The Jaguars will enter a new era under first-year head coach Daniel Fish, and Davis is expected to play a major role on both sides of the ball.
Already attracting attention from college recruiters, Davis holds seven scholarship offers, including offers from Arkansas, Mississippi State and Wake Forest. His versatility and playmaking ability have made him one of the Big Bend’s most highly regarded returning prospects.
Gadsden County will open the 2026 season on the road against Wakulla at 7 p.m. Aug. 21. With a new coaching staff in place and expectations rising, Davis will look to build on his growing reputation and help lead the Jaguars as one of the region’s top all-around talents.
