The Florida State women’s soccer team is returning to Tallahassee as a national champion.
And fans ae invited to welcome back the Seminoles Tuesday, Dec. 9, at two events, according to FSU.
Fans can arrive at Million Air at Tallahassee Regional Airport beginning at 1:30 p.m.
The team will then light the spear at the Unconquered Statue at 5 p.m. followed by a ceremony in the Dunlap Champions Club beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Fans will be able to meet and hear from players and coaches as well as have photo opportunities with the National Championship trophy.
Light food and beverages will be available as well.
FSU won its won its fifth national title with a dramatic 1-0 win over Stanford in the NCAA College Cup National Championship Game on Monday night at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
The Seminoles broke through in the 87th minute when Wrianna Hudson scored off an assist from Taylor Suarez.
Goalie Kate Ockene delivered a standout performance in net with nine saves.
